Single-use NB NOVA  burs

VISIT THE N-D WEB-SITE AT: www.norlindental.com

Use the Internet to drop in at our N-D website and request your free sample from our broad dental   bur range. We will immediately dispatch your free NB NOVA evaluation-bur without any obligation.  Who else has enough product-confidence to give dentists such ”try-before-you-buy” opportunity?

We are convinced a test drive will make this excellent product your “1st Choice” as well.

Each NB NOVA bur is about two Dollars, against 8-10 Dollars for your “average” diamond bur that’s unlikely to perform any better.  The “Single-Use” concept provides for better hygiene, safety and valuable savings in time often used for cleaning infectious 2nd hand dental burs. Add the fact that “Single-Use”  NB NOVA  dental burs always are equally clean, equally sharp & capable and the choice is clear! No need to worry about recording the instruments previous  patient as suggested by NHMRC for future health industry “tracking legislation”.

EXPENSIVE COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY IS FALLING BEHIND

-        -It has been an exciting year in dentistry as always. From my personal dental horizon I can report that I have barely survived the invasive experience of having a costly networked  computer system installed. It will manage my dental office administration and a digital radiographic system. It all works fine now, but with my fresh wisdom of hindsight I would strongly recommend anyone with such ideas to hold off for another two to three years! Even the most “modern hoo-ha” dental computer application may not be fully compatible with leading Microsoft Server software and all radiographic systems I examined have such outdated hardware connectivity that in comparison, a $59.00 web-cam often looks like a marvel of technological “plug-and-go” sophistication. By the way, guess which one does NOT have the Microsoft tick of “approved peripheral”? A high price has nothing to do with it! The good news is that there is a rapid convergence of expensive “Professional Server Technology” with simple cheap mass-produced (read reliable) domestic computer networks. In just another few years your ordinary dental surgery will be able to run all conceivable digital functions on a cheap flexible secure “domestic strength” wire-wireless network. I really believe you will not regret holding off plans to install any computerized system beyond a basic “solo-system” in your reception.  Yes, any cheap computerized billing system is extremely cost-effective, but now is NOT the best time to invest money on anything more complicated than that. The imminent future is about to become a lot more manageable, so just wait a little longer! Technology evolves in leaps and bounds and not like grass slowly growing. Computerised network technology is about to leap forward and “yesterdays” quirky hardware must soon follow too. Dentist Australia-wide are well served by a much more determined  “consumerism” as we have seen many dental computer products quietly vanish without a trace.

ORTHODONTIC SEA CHANGE

- I noted that the migration from conventional “four-on-the-floor” to modern orthodontic diagnostics and treatments has come under the media-spotlight. As an example, I recommend anyone interested a visit to the “Sixty Minutes” web-site and download the transcript of Dr Mahoney’s excellent presentation. I really felt this Australian orthodontic specialist gave a realistic idea about how dramatic the current orthodontic “sea change” is.  It would have been nice to see it reprinted by our peak ADA magazines for all to ponder “the road ahead”. As expected there is dogged resistance, but it is fast disappearing thanks to a generational shift, holistic orthodontic science, universal information exchange and a clever enlightened “consumerism”.  It doesn't hurt asking your regular Orthodontists to explain the relevant issues concerning “bad oral habits”, early childhood diagnosis, prevention, intervention and non-extraction methods before referring next pre-teen patient for Orthodontic assessment. These exciting general dental issues will certainly not simply “go away”...

Finally, we would like to thank YOU our valued customers for your business during the past tax-year. Neither the perpetual GST-administration, a menacing Insurance Industry, nor sly self-serving lawyers have managed to bring us down yet, so we look forward to supplying you with dental products from our unique range for many healthy years to come.

Norlin-Dental wishes you the best of good luck 2004 and thank you for your kind support!
